First, thank you very much for the great tip and video. There are a lot of
comments here and I read all looking for your replies and got answers to
all but one question. I have a craftsman 19.2 drill that I will be looking
to repair/replace batteries in. But I have already purchased one of their
newer Lithium Ion battery packs and love it’s strength and light weight.
Can you please tell me if I can replace the NiCad in the older packs with
Lithium Ion batteries, the old heat since etc? If so please tell me the
best place to buy them, what to look for, and how best to do it? I’m sure
many of your viewers would like to switch over to Lithium Ion batteries
rather than replacing with NiCad. Thanks You again for a great video and
the help you have given us.all.
God work. I feel like we worked something out together , although thats
just the illusion of video conference. I am still very happy to see the
things you did ,to hear the facts you discussed here. And I mean all of
them. I have read & watched a few different successes with reviving
batteries and some of them are ..simple . differing in attack. Now yours is
what I like. open up examine the device break down the mechanism . Remedy
by practical means. SUBSCRIBE! done. Thanks 65Ford.
great video! 1 bad battery kills the whole pack. I usually get battery
packs off the discount table and tear them apart for the batteries. Also
don’t over heat the batteries when you are soldering
I really like the simple idea of the template that you use on your bench.
It’s milli-amp (thousandth of an amp) hours (mAH), not micro-amp (millionth
of an amp) hours which is 1000 times less. 2200 mAH is 2.2 amps per hour,
not bad power considering some are as little as 1200 mAH in the same Sub-C
package.
Nice video with great info. Unfortunately, some battery packs are sealed
shut and you have to break them open to work on them. They tend to fall
apart after that, though. My Dewalt drill batteries are like that. Sigh.
What if the whole battery pack is like 5 years old? is it worth the time to
hunt down the bad ones or given they are old just do them all? Good job on
explaining how these battery packs work.
can you share where you buy the replacement cells at ?
I have 8 x 18 volt dewalts right now, I had no idea that just 1 cell could
kill a pack, so I am going to take apart my doa ones now to experiment with.
Thank you for the info and well done video, my only neg would be the volume
was very low for me.
Nice fix. Thanks
Before watching this I just ordered 8 nimh 3500ah batteries for my 9v
Makita (old ones NiCd). I know they are different but I hope they work. I
looked into it and the charging times are longer. I will let you know if
it works over the long haul. Still a cheaper alternative than nothing.
Just subscribed on your snow-blower seal vid

Awesome video…. Getting ready to rebuild my dewalt with new brushes and
new batteries.. Love the diagram and explanation of using copper wire in
place of straps. You only have one thing wrong with your video…your love
of Fords. Chevy!!!!
What screwdriver are you using ? my craftsman battery pack uses some wierd
hex nut with a pin so you cannot use regular hex wrench.
A great money saver! Thanks!!
Are the 2200 mah the best ones?
where did you get the batterys and how did you know what kind to get
You Rock! I’ve watched a few of your videees and both your info and your
presentation are excellent. I also have to say that your lighting is spot
on! Your camera work is perfect for the content. And most of all, your info
is practical and timely. Great job. Thanks for what you do.
Nice Job real informative !
Very handy tips man. I’ve got a few dead dewalt 18v stick packs, and took
one apart TOD.
Now maybe I can get one good one out of them
Thanks, subbed!

battery for it but i can not seem to find 2.4mah batteries and when i do

to get. im thinking of using these eBay item number:400661795859 what do

How do you repair the 18V Lithium ion SKIL battery charger?? I charged by
bat. pack twice and now nothing?? Any help would be much appreciated

Applying that much heat to a cell cant be good for it, am I right ?
I bought a case of beer. There was 12 of them inside the box same as the
battery…
Hey Moe, good job! thanks for sharing.
Hey 65,waer s glad I found you.I’m a man than likes to take spare parts or
someones junk parts and make use of them for something else.I have a small
propane heater that has a fan running on 6 d cell batteries. It eats them.My
fridge went out and I removed it out yesterday.I was just looking at the
parts and noticed the freezer fan.Well it now has a cord and its a great
fan for my heater.Keep up the good work.
